Berenice AbbottMichael’s passion for photography centres on his love for aviation. Whether it is the gentle Tiger Moth or a roaring Merlin powered Spitfire, his skill in capturing the essence of flight reflects his respect for the men who served our country over the years.
Michael’s images have been used in various aviation magazines, including “Aviator”, “Pacific Flyer” & “The Moth”. He has also contributed to the Bud Tingwell biography “War Stories”.
In addition to Michael’s aviation photography, he is an avid landscape photographer, capturing the rural & outback country of Australia. Michael was the local winner in 2011 “Scott Kelby Photowalk” and was also selected as a Top 8 finalist for an ANZ Banking Group photo competition in 2012. Michael also won the “People’s Choice” and had a Highly Commended in the 2012 Murrumbidgee Catchment Authority photo competition.
In recent times, Michael has completed a photo session for the NSW Commodore Club of NSW at the Temora 1000 featuring some the competitors cars with a the Spitfire Mk16 from the Temora Aviation Museum. Michael has also completed shoots at the NSW/ACT Riverina & Farrer League Netball & Football grand finals.
